Homeland Security report details ‘threat’ from ‘right-wing extremism’

27 Jun

On April 7th, President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security issued a report titled, “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.” This document is meant to highlight supposed “radical right-wing” criminals and the threat that they pose to this country, but what this document actually reveals is that our own government are the criminals.

The document claims that the U.S. government is not just threatened by Arab terrorists, but also by an army of domestic ones too. These include: those who believe in the constraints of constitutional government; those who believe in state sovereignty; a belief in the right to keep and bear arms; alleged “white extremists”; the fear of an “economic downturn”; those who oppose state control of their lives, and veterans returning home from wars 6,000 miles from our shores.*

It is very difficult to grasp the utter absurdity of this report and the spit-in-the-face-big-middle-finger it gives to the American people. The groups that are of interest in this report are not threats to you and I, of course, but threats to the federal government as it lives and breathes today: a giant killing and policing machine that strips us of our liberties, sends our sons and daughters to kill all over the globe, impoverishes us with inflation and debt, and demands we be thankful for it by paying our taxes. And the government is afraid of us?

The Obama Administration is doing all it can to hide and deflect the details of this report, and the head of our Homeland Security Department, the criminal and utterly inept Janet Napolitano is telling us not to worry too much about this document. The worst part about it is the mentioning of returning veterans:

“Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists,” the document says. “DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities.”

Napolitano has recently backed off this touchy veterans as threats issue, since we all know the biggest thought crime in America is saying anything negative about our military or our imperial adventures. Why, that wouldn’t be “supporting the troops,” even as they come back home crippled, psychologically scarred, suicidal, and in coffins.

Those who aren’t concerned with, or who passively support, the witch-hunt of supposed domestic “right-wing terrorists” may not be so happy when the tables are turned and the State starts to hunt down left-wingers too. This is not a right/left issue; it is about the threat that the federal government sees to its subsidized and tyrannical existence from dissenters, and one could easily imagine a Republican president hunting down “left-wing terrorists” too.

This report is not surprising, however, considering the “Department” that it was issued from. The Department of Homeland Security, a Bush-era creation, is another unnecessary and oppressive federal agency, manifesting itself with machine-gun-armed guards at airports, their fingers just inches from the trigger. “Homeland” security? What is this, Soviet Russia?

The Obama Administration continues to show itself to be wrapped in secrecy, lies, and abuses of power, and is using this excessive power it was granted from the previous administration to persecute its opponents.

As President Obama’s policies continue to mirror Bush’s, more and more people will (hopefully) come to the realization that what we elected was not “change,” but continuation, and the KGB Department of Homeland Security’s “domestic terrorist” list may run out of paper detailing its opposition.
